Ultimate Guide to Racecourse Dress Codes: What to Wear

Planning your next day at the races? To ensure a seamless entry, please review our official dress code guidelines. Outfits vary depending on the specific hospitality area or enclosure you have booked.

Home Straight Restaurant & Premier Enclosure Dress Code

As our most premium enclosures, the Home Straight Restaurant and Premier Enclosure require a formal and sophisticated standard of raceday attire.

  • Gentlemen: A tailored jacket is mandatory. While a tie is highly encouraged to complete the look, it remains optional.

  • Ladies: Smart and elegant attire is expected (such as dresses, formal jumpsuits, or trouser suits).

  • Children: Younger racegoers are kindly asked to dress smartly to match the enclosure’s standards.

  • Strictly Prohibited: Denim/jeans, sneakers, and general sportswear are not permitted in these premium areas.

County Stand & Hospitality Dress Code

The County Stand and hospitality suites strike the perfect balance between style and comfort, operating under a smart-casual dress code.

  • Gentlemen: Smarter attire is required. High-quality, smart jeans or tailored shorts paired with a collared shirt (polo shirts or button-downs) are perfect.

  • Ladies: A chic, smart-casual style is highly encouraged.

  • Strictly Prohibited: Sportswear, athletic team shirts, and fancy dress are not allowed under any circumstances.
